New changes to the committee was decided at the 2022 AGM
Due to recent health problems Barry is taking a step back to the role of vice-president and the Committee welcomes Salty into the key president’s role, steering the organisation through the next phase of development
his background and knowledge of the Blues Industry will be a great asset to the on going development of Blues Music Victoria.
“The new president elect Salty Trevarthen thanked Barry for his service in the role since the inception of BMV in 2017.
Barry and Salty were instrumental in establishing BMV after discussions on improving co-operation within the industry and promoting Victorian blues music back in late 2016.
Barry took a lead role in inviting others to join the organisation and promoted the concept to a broad cross section of the industry and Government.
His tireless efforts, vision and enthusiasm for BMV have been key to the success of BMV to date.”
