Our first Committee meeting for 2023 was held on 29th January at the Yorkshire Stingo Hotel in Abbotsford.
There was lively and quality discussion on a range of matters ranging from alignment with vocational music schools, to sponsorship, scholarships, and development of the blues club network.
We will be providing monthly updates on our progress on these matters, and as always your input is most welcome.

Information Service
To provide up to date information via email and the website on changes to regulations/laws, release of grant applications, festival applications and any other happenings.
Blues Showcase Events
BMV are planning to bring a program of high quality blues showcases to regional and metro venues to promote professionals from all genres to industry venues and promoters, culminating in late November at the Hall of Fame
Mentorships/Scholarships
BMV are purposing to partner with Victorian TAFE’s, Colleges and Music Schools to establish a understanding of Blues Music Culture and offer mentorships and scholarships to up and coming musicians.
Regional Strategy
BMV’s aim is to develop a regional strategy to assist and promote regional blues venues and musicians, to create a network of clubs and venues to eventually develop a Victorian Blues Trail
YouTube Channel
We are currently working on the development of the BMV YouTube channel to promote Victorian Blues acts
