The Blues Train has been rockin’ the rails since 1994. We started small, inspired by stories of the old blues masters jamming on Mississippi freight trains. The Blues music and train travel combo was so much fun we kept going, putting on more shows, attracting great blues musos and entertaining more and more people from all around the world. These days over 10,000 people enjoy The Blues Train every year.
Of course there would be no Blues Train if if weren’t for the trains lovingly maintained and driven by the wonderful volunteers at the Bellarine Railway.
There would also be no Blues Train if it weren’t for the blues music! In over two decades we’ve had more than one hundred acts (solo performers, duos and full bands) do their thing in somewhat unusual conditions. They love playing on the train and that really comes out in their performances.
The Blues Train is run by the team at Bay City Events. Bay City Events specialises in event management, corporate functions, artistic programming, product launches, bar operations, unique venues, entertainment and festivals.
